Sarah Leslie
Operations Coordinator – Event Services
Sarah Leslie is the most recent addition to the Event Services team. After graduating from the UW in 2021, Sarah spent the last few years working with non-profit organizations to address housing and educational opportunities for those in need. During that time, Sarah discovered a passion for events and decided to return to the UW as an Operations Coordinator. In her spare time, Sarah loves cooking, shopping, and hosting weekly trivia nights.
Phoenix Ford
Systems Specialist – AT Operations & Training
Phoenix Ford, originally from Illinois, is excited to join the Academic Technologies team from Drake University where he worked as a Campus Technician and received his degree in International Business. At Drake, he developed experience in a variety of fields such as general support, camera operation, talent buying, and computer administration. Outside of work, Phoenix spends his time painting, attending live music shows, and snowboarding.

Nathan Mitchell
Administrative Assistant
Nathan Mitchell assists in implementing CTL programs to enhance UW instructors’ teaching experiences. He expands the CTL’s capacity to support the tri-campus Teaching@UW collaboration and develop new programs and initiatives. His previous experience includes UW Residential Life and local arts nonprofits. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from the University of Washington.

Chloe Thomas
International Student Advisor
Chloe Thomas joined the ISS team in May 2024 as an International Student Advisor. From Spokane, she moved to Seattle in 2010. Her passion for cultural diversity began in college, where she studied in Spain and earned a degree in International Studies and Spanish. After 6.5 years in the travel industry, she transitioned to international student advising. Chloe has visited 26 countries and hopes to explore Antarctica next. She shares her life with her partner Matt, daughter Annabell, a corgi, and two cats.

Dave Sagehorn
Financial Aid Counselor
Dave Sagehorn is originally from Wisconsin and lived in Chicago for 16 years before moving to Seattle in 2023. Sagehorn’s academic background is in film and media studies at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and Northwestern University. Sagehorn worked in a range of campus roles before joining the UW Financial Aid office – including academic advising, academic libraries, and teaching. Sagehorn is still getting to know Seattle, and is taking recommendations on good record stores and bakeries.
Madison McCann
Financial Aid Counselor
Prior to working at UW, McCann worked as a financial aid counselor at Seattle University. She attended the UW as an undergraduate, double majoring in Mathematics and Scandinavian Studies with a minor in Swedish. After graduating from UW, McCann attended the University of Michigan, where she received her master’s degree in Higher Education: Student Access and Success. In her free time, McCann likes to knit, collect board games, and explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Brianna Twigg
Financial Aid Counselor
Brianna Twigg recently joined the Office of Student Financial Aid as a Financial Aid Counselor. Previous to this role, Twigg was a Financial Aid Counselor at Berry College in Rome, GA. She received her B.S. from Berry College in Business Management and Marketing. Twigg is originally from Federal Way, and is excited to work closer to home.
Regina Edwards
Financial Aid Counselor
Regina Edwards recently returned to Seattle after leaving over five years ago. She is glad to be back. Edwards was living in Anchorage, AK where she was a financial aid advisor for the University of Alaska Anchorage. Edwards is excited to join the UW OSFA team as a Financial Aid Counselor. Edwards has experience in Student Accounts Receivable at Wayne State University where she received her degree in Accounting. One of her favorite pastimes is jigsaw puzzles; she is up to 2000 pieces.
Jonathan Shepard
Financial Aid Counselor
Jonathan Shepard was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He lived in Los Angeles, California for the past 17 years. Shepard graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in English. He moved back to Seattle with his family earlier this year. Before obtaining the position of Financial Aid Counselor at the UW, Shepard worked at the University of Southern California for four years as a Financial Aid & Admissions Advisor. Some of his favorite things to do are traveling, grilling, reading, writing, and spending time with his children.

Lisa Danh
Registration Team Record Specialist One
Lisa Danh was born and raised in Seattle. She loves traveling and trying new food spots. Danh graduated from the University of Washington in 2023 with a degree in Communication and she started working as a Record Specialist I in September. She is excited to start her career here while continuing to be a part of the Husky community. Go Dawgs!
Erin Espedal
Registration Team Supervisor
Erin Espedal gained valuable experience as an Academic Coordinator at UW Bothell school of STEM and Registrar Student Services Coordinator in the Office of the University Registrar before being moving to her current role as Registration Team Supervisor. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, watercolor painting, and spending time with her family.

Maiah Walker is passionate about serving the community that has helped her grow in ways she could have never imagined. She enjoys the spooky vibes of Halloween and video games.
